Greetings from Liberia! May 16th, 2010
Erik, Jason, and I arrived safely in Monrovia, Liberia, after sleeping overnight at the Brussels airport. We are adjusting to the intense heat and even more intense humidity. I think I can actually grab a piece of the air if I wanted to, its so thick ha. Dennis and his wife Venia are fun and very hospitable. We are enjoying the Liberian scenery and culture thus far.
We got a taste of the jungle today as we hiked to all cornerstones of the land purchased by CIG. Its a great location and the Lord's got big plans for it!
Sunday we will attend CRCA Monrovia Church. They have asked us to do the service, so the Lord prompted Jason to share a testimony, Erik to play some worship, and me to preach.
We stocked up on supplies as we leave on Monday for the villages in the Buluyema bush/jungle. We'll be carrying everything on our backs.
Jason has a mild reaction to the Malarone pills, so keep him in prayer. Otherwise, the requests that we've already expressed: above all, that each person we come into contact with would receive a taste of Jesus. We know trials are coming, so thank you for all your prayers thus far... our trip will only be as effective as the prayers that are behind it!
With Love In Christ,
Nathan, Erik, Jason
